THE LEGACY OF MISSION ROCK, THE NEW PIG FRONTIER Most of the artwork below is by Pez. This space is underneath an old rotten and decrepit pier that's tryin to fall into the bay. you stick your head through this little hole in the ground and there's an entire little cavern full of drawings and paintings in frames and little stencils down there. Luckily, the yuppie dog-walkers and "street art" moguls with cameras have not yet discovered this place. I come here often to paint and get my head together and be the fuck away from the many douchebags that comprise the population of the "new mission". The area surrounding this used to be industry and railyard, but recently UCSF built some huge biotech buildings and some prick developer(s) is building condos right across the street. This, I'm guessing, will radically alter the area and this pier structure will most likely be gone within a few years to make room for an official yuppie park replete with anti-homeless infrastructure. On any given beautiful day in SF, people from neighborhoods south of here can be seen pleasantly and calmly fishing, chilling out, relaxing. There is also a very amicable homebum named Larry who is currently living in the area and chills at the piers/tables for hours on end. If you see him, say hello. |

| HOMEMADE RAFT hiding, locked to the "dock" at mission bay. Angered at the idea of people having fun at a space that was not a legitimate park and was not under the official eye of their authority, SF PIGS cut the lock and destroyed the raft. |
